Promotion April 2011 - Proton Satria Neo

Promotion April 2011 - Discount Rm500 CPS AT/MT @ Discount Rm500 LITE AT

Proton launched it’s iconic two-door hatchback, the Proton Satria back in December 1994. The Proton Satria was based on the Mitsubishi Colt and came in 1.3 liter and 1.6 liter variants. Two years later, it received it’s first minor facelift, with the number plate relocated to the hatch instead of on the bumper. Four years after it’s introduction, the sporty Satria GTI variant was released, featuring a sporty bodykit, Lotus tuned ride and handling as well as a powerful 1.8 liter twin-cam engine making 140 horsepower. In 2003, Proton introduced the Satria Special Edition which featured a new bodykit and a minor interior facelift. In 2004, the R3-tuned limited edition Satria R3 was launched.

The Satria is one of Proton’s more successful models, achieving near-cult status in hatchback-loving countries like the UK. We have been looking at spy photos of the Proton Satria Replacement Model for more then a year now, and the wait is now over. Proton has launched the Satria Replacement Model and it has been given the name Proton Satria Neo. Let’s have a look at the new Proton Satria Neo.

The Proton Satria Neo 1.6 comes in specification levels: the M-Line and the H-Line. Both features 16 inch alloy wheels wrapped with Continental SportContact-1 tyres in 195/50/R16 88V size. The alloy wheels are of the bling bling design. Proton prefers to call this design a turbine design. This turbine design is symmetrical, which means the left and right sides of the car use different designs to ensure the turbine always “spins” forward. I still think they’re horrible, but then again wheels are something that are easily replaced and is one of the first things to be changed on a car. The Proton Satria Neo 1.3 L-Line base model uses 15 inch steel rims with bling bling turbine wheel covers. The tyres provided are Sime Astar Prima 195/55/R15 85V.

Promotion April 2011 - Proton Gen2

Promotion April 2011 - Discount RM3500 (2010)

The new facelifted 2008 Proton GEN2 comes in medium line and high line versions. The medium line version features a new Proton Campro 1.6 IAFM engine, the larger sibling to the 1.3 IAFM Campro found in the recently launched Proton Saga. The IAFM system solves the infamous torque dip of the barebones Campro engine, and should be alot better to drive around the city now, as you do not need to rev very high to get sufficient torque for acceleration. The Proton GEN2 mid line with the IAFM Campro 1.6 delivers produces 110 horsepower at 6,000rpm and 148Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. Torque at an engine speed of 3,000rpm is 139Nm, while the barebones Campro only delivered 128Nm of torque at that engine speed.
for you're looking for something stylish, you've got it. The Gen.2 is as breathtaking inside as it is outside. The Lotus Design Studio from the UK adopts a minimalist design concept with aluminium-style highlights that'll go well with your stylish wardrobe. At the same time, the interior is fabricated with high levels of comfort and ergonomics for your driving pleasure.

Wherever you go, you'll always look fabulous in a Gen.2. It has a unique design unlike any other Proton. It's chic, sporty and stylish. Every corner is curved to perfection. A perfect design well-suited to the lifestyle you're living.
The interior gets a redesign, adopting the Persona’s interior featuring a redesigned dashboard without the odd clock in the middle and gaining a glovebox. The door trim is all-new, also from the Persona, and features power window switches on the door arm rest instead of in the middle of the two front seats. The highline version gets leather seats and an interior with some black and red trim. It also gets Dual SRS Airbags, ABS brakes, and EBD, while the medium line version only gets a driver’s airbag. Something new for the GEN2 and cars in this segment is Automatic Cruise Control, available on the high-line version.

Although output remains, the Campro IAFM in the Persona Elegance comes with a new 32 bit ECU from Continental, which also supplied the previous 16 bit version. According to a Proton source, the new 32 bit ECU has more capabilities compared to the older 16 bit version – capable of more inputs, you can configure more parameters, and it can also interconnect with more systems such as “talking” to a Body Control Module such as the one in the Exora.

We already know there’s a new bodykit, front grille, bumpers and new LED tail lamps. But beyond that, here’s what’s different:
  • The seat backrest angle has been changed to offer better comfort.
  • Extra soundproofing material has been added to pillars to improve interior NVH.
  • Despite power output and torque being the same, a source has indicated that the engine should feel livelier and more responsive. We’ll try to get an initial impression from the showrooms over this weekend.

There are a couple of changes to the exterior. As all of you already know from our previous reveals, the Persona Elegance comes with a new rear lamp cluster, now with LED brake lights. The nine LEDs are arranged in two rows – four up and five down. All trims except for the Base Line come with a bodykit, slim rear spoiler and foglamps, although the turning lamps on the side mirrors (illuminates in a cool light bar form) and chrome door handles are standard across the board.

Medium and High Line cars get a GPS navigation set stuck on the windscreen, driver’s seat height adjuster and electric side mirrors. Only the High Line gets leather seats and trim (Base and Medium Line sports a new fabric material), cruise control and remote release for the trunk.

Safety kit wise, the High Line comes with ABS and EBD, two airbags and two pre-tensioner seatblets. Out of this, the Medium Line only gets a driver’s airbag and pre-tensioner seatbelt, while the Base Line gets none of the above.

Promotion April 2011 - Proton Saga FL

For April Promotion 2011 - Discount Rm500 for STD/EXEC MT

The Blue Rock colour you see here is one of the two new colors (the other is Cafe Latte, a light brown hue), and is the same colour as the Thai show car. There are now two trim lines – Standard and Executive – down from the previous three. Manual (5-speed) and automatic (4-speed) choices are available for both trims, which mean that there are four possible configurations.

Powered by the same 1,332 cc Campro engine with 94 hp and 120 Nm, the Saga FL gets Proton’s new face, which will be sign of things to come. As detailed before, the new exterior consists of new lamps front and rear, new grille, new bumpers on both ends and new design rims. Standard variants ride on 175/70 R13 wheels while Executive FLs use 185/60 R14 rubber.

Most of the new features that the FL gets over the old car is for the Executive. They are dual airbags, steering audio buttons and USB/AUX ports for the Clarion MP3 stereo. New goodies available on both trims are side mirrors with LED signal lamps, rear power windows, rear LED tail lamps. The rest of the Executive-only equipment includes driver’s seat height adjuster, powered wing mirrors, fog lamps and slim rear spoiler.

The new Proton Saga facelift is now available in four different variants – the Standard M/T and A/T as well as the higher spec Executive M/T and A/T, which is one grade level less than the pre-facelift Saga, which was available in N-Line, B-Line and M-Line. Effectively, this means very basic N-Line with the cheapest price tag and the black bumper is not represented in the new line-up.

All models have the front and rear power windows, MP3 function for the audio player, and the side mirrors with LED turn indicators.
What the Executive model adds over the Standard model are the USB and AUX input, the dual front SRS airbags (Standard model doesn’t have any airbags), steering wheel audio switches, driver seat height adjustment, electric door mirrors, fog lamps, rear spoiler, a multipurpose container and side protector moulding. Wheels are alloys wrapped with 180/60R14 on the Executive, and steel wheels wrapped with 175/70R13 on the Standard.

The Saga is available in Solid White, Tranquility Black, Genetic Silver, and two new flours – Cafe Latte and Blue Rock. Our live galleries after the jump are mostly of the two new colours so you’ll know what they look like.

Promotion April 2011 - Proton Inspira

Promotion for April 2011 - Free Service Fever Campaign and 2 years Free E-Service
Proton Inspira (Sample)

At a glance, there’s almost zero difference between the Inspira and Lancer save for Proton’s unique front end design, which is of a V-shape as opposed to Mitsubishi’s trademark trapezoidal “jet fighter” grille. Besides the obvious fact that the change is needed to differentiate the cars, Proton deliberately wanted to move away from the Lancer “too aggressive” look, according to the engineers.

At the rear, you’ll find 2.0 P or 1.8 E to mark the variants, the latter available in both manual and CVT versions. As mentioned in our preview drive, P stands for Premium and E stands for Executive in Proton’s new naming scheme, P being the higher spec. There’s a chrome strip at the bottom edge of the boot, like on the Lancer EX. The Proton’s bumper is unique as it has a black painted “diffuser style” design, as opposed to the straightforward item on the Lancer. The reflectors sit within the black area.

Like the Lancer EX, the Inspira wears 16-inch wheels with 205/60 rubber. With the Proton, you get unique Continental Comfort Contact CC5 tyres with compounds that were specifically developed for the car. The rim design looks much better without the black disguise tape on the pre-production cars. Suspension tuning also differs from the Lancer, as detailed in two rounds of preview tests we did.

Dashboard
Proton Inspira produced in 3 different choices of transmission and engine which is 1.8 litre MIVEC 4b10 manual transmission, 1.8 litre MIVEC 4b10 CVT Continuous Variable Transmission and the Proton Inspira Premium model 2.0 litre MIVEC 4b11 CVT Continuous Variable Transmission with paddle shifter and leather finishing.

Proton Inspira kerb weight is from 1300kg (1.8 manual) to 1335kg (2.0 cvt).
The dimension of Proton Inspira is 4570 mm length , 1760 mm width , 1490 mm height.
Fuel consumption of Proton Inspira ( Inspira FC ) will be around 6.3 Liter per 100 km which is around 15.87 km/l or RM0.1166 or 11.66 cent per kilometer (RM1.85 per litre RON95) at 90km/h constant driving.
